Marubeni Corporation has acquired TOLUS Group AG

TOLUS, which was formed via the platform acquisition of Suvema AG in 2019 followed by the add-on acquisition of Newemag AG in 2022 developed a market leading position in Switzerland. In addition, TOLUS was able to expand its business model by entering the Austrian market. Based on its strong market position, its engineering capabilities to design and propose automation systems, TOLUS achieved cumulative sales of over 5,000 units.

For over 70 years, Marubeni has been selling Japanese-made machine tools, which boast outstanding technological capabilities, in countries around the world. By acquiring TOLUS, Marubeni is entering the European Machine tool market which is assumed to be the second largest globally.
