Marubeni Corporation has acquired TOLUS Group AG

TOLUS, which was formed via the platform acquisition of Suvema AG in 2019 followed by the add-on acquisition of Newemag AG in 2022 developed a market leading position in Switzerland serving a comprehensive blue-chip customer portfolio active in ultra-fine and high precision machining industries. Based on its strong market position, its engineering capabilities to design, propose and service automation solutions, TOLUS achieved cumulative sales of over 5,000 units. During the ownership of Halder, TOLUS in addition was able to expand its business model by entering the Austrian market. 

By acquiring TOLUS, Marubeni is entering the European Machine tool market which is assumed to be the second largest globally (press release).
