Halder acquires Anker Kassensysteme GmbH

Support of sustainable and profitable growth of Anker Kassensysteme GmbH

Halder has acquired a majority stake in Anker Kassensysteme GmbH (Bielefeld, German) as part of a management buy-out. The management team co-invests alongside with Halder in the transaction and becomes minority shareholder.

Anker was established in 1876 and ever since has been a provider of hardware and solutions for the point-of-sale market offering excellent quality, security, flexibility and innovative solutions.

The company's product portfolio compromises cash cassettes as well as cash drawers and poles. With an installed base of over 600,000 cash cassettes, Anker is the market leader for cash cassettes in the DACH region. The company serves customers from different sectors such as food retail, drugstores, gastronomy, bakery, gas station and health care sectors providing both, standard and customized solutions. In 2018, a total of 70 employees generated sales of € 13 million.

Future growth potential arises from the rising demand for POS products such as cash cassettes, cash drawers and poles, especially in the food retail sector. To benefit from the changing product and customer requirements as well as from the trends for POS applications, Anker wants to expand its product portfolio in order to develop itself into a full-service-provider for the POS. Further, Anker wants to strengthen its European market presence especially by expanding to Poland, France, Italy, Spain and the Nordics.

„With Halder, we have a very experienced and entrepreneurial partner at our side who will successfully accompany Anker's further development and sustainable growth. We would like to thank the Anker team for their outstanding performance over the past years, which has contributed significantly to the successful transaction. I am very excited to accompany the further development of Anker together with Halder and our team.”, said Dr. Fabian Schühle, Managing Director Anker Kassensysteme GmbH.

Mathias Fackelmeyer, Managing Partner at Halder added: „The development of the last years and especially the successful business model together with the very committed and motivated management team have been the decisive factors for our commitment. Halder is pleased to support Anker´s growth course in the future with our contribution. “

The investment in Anker is the fourth investment completed by the Halder team in 2019.
