Aqua Vital grows by acquiring revos

Frankfurt, 22. May 2014. Aqua Vital, a leading provider of water dispensers located in Neuss/North Rhine Westphalia, has acquired revos watercooler GmbH. Halder Beteiligungsberatung, Frankfurt, had completed an MBO of Aqua Vital in July 2013. The acquisition broadens Aqua Vital’s position in the growing German market significantly.

revos, located in Munich, was established in 1993 and has comprehensive know-how in reverse osmosis, a technology used in spring and drinking water filtration. Since 1996, business has focused on bottled water coolers (BWC) and the company currently has an installed base of more than 15,000 dispensers, providing a strong market presence in the retail as well as other industries. revos also provides systems supplied by water pipes for point of use installation (POU), the second important market segment. Total sales amounted to more than € 6 million in 2013.

As a part of Aqua Vital Group, revos will continue to operate with its proven business model and supporting organizational structure, both managing directors are becoming shareholders in the newly formed group. Aqua Vital has a market share of ca. 40% in the BWC segment including revos.

Halder has been active in Germany since 1991 and has provided 36 SMEs with capital for ownership succession and growth. The firm invests from a fund with € 325 million in capital which has already acquired seven mid-cap firms. Readers of Private Equity International magazine have voted Halder “Private Equity Firm of the Year in Germany” for 2013.
