Prof. Dr. Xuewu Gu

Gu holds the chair in International Relations at the University of Bonn’s institute for Political Sciences and Sociology and is director of the Center for Global Studies. His main topics of research include international politics of East Asia, Chinese economic and fiscal policy as well as Chinese domestic, foreign and security policy.

Hans-Dieter Mertens

Hans-Dieter Mertens

Mertens is Senior Advisor to Halder for the Asia-Pacific region. In international business since 1974, he became Managing Director of the Far East Liaison Office of IWKA AG and headed IWKA Asia Pacific Ltd from 2004/5. From 1986 to 2005 he developed sales structures and established JV- and subsidiary companies in China. He is a board member of Chinese subsidiaries of several international companies.

Robert Fellner-Feldegg

Robert Fellner-Feldegg

Chairman of the Advisory Board, VAG Group, Mannheim. As the company’s CEO from 2001 – 2013, Fellner-Feldegg completed an MBO of this provider of valves and fittings used by the water and waste management industry and was the driving force behind VAG’s international expansion. The company has established manufacturing plants in Hodonin (Czech Republic), Taicang (People’s Republic of China) and Hyderabad (India). Today, VAG’s Chinese sales organization employs 60 engineers.

Paul De Ridder

Paul De Ridder

Founding partner and Managing Director of Halder Holding. De Ridder established the German office in 1991 and has participated in more than 30 investments and ownership succession solutions in German mid-cap firms. Before joining Halder, he worked with international corporate clients of an international bank with postings including Brussels and Milan.

Dr. Hanns Ostmeier

Dr. Hanns Ostmeier

Executive Chairman of Halder Holding since 2013. Ostmeier was Senior Partner at BC Partners and Senior Managing Director at Blackstone Group, New York. He served on the Management Board of Bundesverband Deutscher Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaften (BVK), the association of private equity and venture capital firms in Germany, from 2007 to 2012 and was its President since 2009.
